Earlier today, Niantic announced a Valentines Day event for Pokémon GO. What they didn’t mention, however, was a nice little modification made to the game on top of that event. Changes have been made to what Pokémon can be hatched from the 2 km, 5 km and 10 km Eggs. Notably, many more Pokémon are can now be hatched from the 2 km Eggs, while other Pokémon moved from 10 km to 5 km, such as Pinsir and Scyther.
The new distribution is below. A useful visual guide is given on The Sliph Road. Pokémon with a * next to their name can only be obtained by hatching Eggs. Work is still ongoing in figuring out what distances are required for each Pokémon, although it’s a safe bet that Rattata remains a 2 km Egg. It should be noted that this only applies to Eggs obtained today and thereafter. Eggs you had before this update will not change.
