“Pokémon: I Choose You!” gets International Movie Release

The 20th Pokemon movie will be released outside Japan in a special event on the weekend of November 5-6, 2017.

Some breaking news out of The Pokemon Company International, after the success of the 20th Pokemon movie Pokemon: I Choose You! In Japan, the movie will be released internationally in theatres. This special event will be hosted by Fathom Events, which is owned by the movie theatres Cinemark and AMC. A press statement was released by TPCI earlier today.

Pokemon: I Choose You focuses on the beginning of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu’s friendship. As it is a retelling of the first episode of the Pokemon series, it will also incorporate a couple changes; such as new trainers Verity and Sorrel, as well as featuring the new legendary Pokemon Marshadow.

The movie will have a limited theatrical release on November 5-6, 2017. No word on which theatres will be participating, though, but you may sign up for updates on where the movie will be showing in your area on www.fathomevents.com.
