New Adventure Week event announced for Pokémon GO, focusing on Rock-types

The official Pokémon GO website have recently announced another Adventure Week event, which will include a variety of bonuses, such as boosts on candy, XP gains and spawns.

Starting on May 24 at 1:00 PM PDT (8:00 PM GMT), “unique” Field Research tasks will be available, with the promise of “exciting rewards”. It is not known what the rewards are as of yet, but a Raid Battle with Aerodactyl has been teased. This event will end on June 5, which is the same day that Latias and Latios will leave Pokémon GO.

Additionally, the main focus of this event is an increase in the spawn rate of Rock-type Pokémon. During the event period, Pokémon such as Geodude, Anorith and Onix will spawn more frequently. Buddy Pokémon will earn Candy at a faster rate (4x faster), and extra XP will be awarded for spinning PokéStops or Gyms. This can be up to 10 times the usual amount if the player spins a PokéStop or Gym they have not visited before.

Which Rock-types are you looking forward to getting out and catching the most?
